Thanksgiving is more than an annual holiday. It is a spiritual discipline. Truth be told, we don’t always feel thankful. This has been another challenging year for all of us, but some have suffered more than others. We hosted a memorial service last Saturday for a victim of Covid-19. David was a father of a 10-year old boy who sat right in front of me throughout the service looking bewildered and lost. He was going to read a verse of Scripture as part of the service, but instead he walked up with his older step-brother and let him do the reading.
