Thanks for taking the time to look up the Pacific Beach Christian Church! We are excited about our ministry here and look forward to some of the challenges and opportunities that lay before us.

We have designated 2012 as “The Year of Apprenticeship” as we commit together as a congregation to learn how to live the life Jesus described in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). Becoming more like Christ doesn’t just happen because we want it to… it requires training. We invite you to join us this spring as we work through the second book of our series entitled “The Good and Beautiful Life” by James Bryan Smith. The book will provide our small group discussion questions and preaching themes from April 22 thru July 15. So come join us for our own version of “Spring Training.”

This mission has created a powerful energy and focus for our church. As people rely on the Bible, we encourage sharing their questions and insights with one another. This develops a deeper and more meaningful relationship with God and with each other.

We are intentional about ministry in our community and world. We believe studying God’s word, growing together, and reaching out to others is a fulfillment of our call as disciples of Christ to Open Wide Your Hearts!

We are an inter-generational community of faith where casual attire is the norm. We have been a part of the Pacific Beach community for over 60 years and are making some important transitions to insure our ministry will remain vital and dynamic for the next 60 years.
